by Australian textile designer Wendy Williams.
Shipshewana, Indiana
Tuesday March 9 - Saturday March 13

Nubin has an incredible knack for breaking down complex patterns—like foundation piecing and wool appliqué—into simple, stress-free steps. Whether you are completely new to these techniques or looking to sharpen your skills, Nubin’s clear, patient teaching style ensures you’ll get the hang of it quickly.

"Nubin's favorite part of teaching is helping students find their own

unique style, so you’ll be in excellent hands."

Your Quilt, Your Story...

  • The Classic Path: Follow Wendy's whimsical pattern exactly as written to recreate her breathtaking original vision, featuring hand-stitched wool applique' and embroidery, bringing to life whimsical elements like houses, lighthouses, animals, and intricate flowers.

  • The Storyteller Path: Use Wendy's brilliant layout, but swap out elements to embed your own personal history—like adding a silhouette of your childhood home, a favorite family pet, or even a tiny Mackinac Island lighthouse!

Nubin will teach the core foundation piecing and wool applique' techniques using the standard pattern and... help               you turn your personal ideas into working fabric templates.

"Memories layered into fabric create the perfect form of storytelling."
