When does registration open?

What does it cost to attend this event?

One Price Covers All - Quilting Art Seminar rates are available under Rates & Lodging and include: ​

Registration Fee

Workshop Fee based on whether you’re participating in a 2-day, 3-day or 5-day workshop.

Shepler’s Ferry Ticket to and from the island.

Horse-drawn Carriage Taxi Ticket... One (1) ticket to Mission Point Resort and one (1) from the resort to the dock.

Baggage/luggage transfers to and from Mission Point Resort.

Overnight Accommodations at the award winning Mission Point Resort in the Main Lodge.

$400 initial registration/workshop deposit will be paid through this website
Balance due will be paid directly to Cousin’s Quilt Shop by December 11, 2025. ​​​​

​Must I stay at Mission Point Resort?
Yes. You must stay at Mission Point Resort to participate in our event in any way.
Room reservations will NOT be made directly through Mission Point Resort.
Room reservations will be made through our Event Coordinator, Carmen Hartwig.
All package rates are per person. A non-student guest rate is provided.
Once your workshop registration is confirmed, Carmen Hartwig or her staff will reach out to you within 2-3 weeks
to obtain your room reservation. One person from each room should supply a list of names at that time.
Can I bring my pet?
There are a number of rooms in the Straits Lodge which are dog friendly. However, these rooms are already sold out for the dates of our event. We will NOT be able to accommodate dogs this year.
Where do I get my tickets for the ferry and carriage taxi?
Approximately 2 weeks prior to the event we'll mail these tickets to you along helpful travel tips.
How do I reserve additional nights before or after the event?
Additional nights may be available prior to the 3 and 6 night packages, based on hotel availability, please inquire with Carmen Hartwig hartwig@torchlake.com 231-357-6999

​​​Can we "RETREAT" on the island without taking classes?
Sadly, not this year. Mission Point Resort is unable to offer enough conference space for us to offer Open Sew rooms.

Will you have machines available for rent?
No, we do not have a source for machine rentals this year.
​
Will you give us a supply list for our classes?
A supply list for each class will be posted as available on the same page as the workshop description,
no later than December 11, 2025.
Will you have kits available for each class?
Our goal is to offer as many kits as possible.
If a kit is available for a particular class, it will be noted on the supply list, no later than December 11, 2025.

Are any meals included?
Yes. As listed on our ‘Rates & Lodging’ page.

Are there evening opportunities?
Monday night: Lecture and Trunk Show following our banquet dinner with Elissa Ziccardi - Color Your World.
Thursday night: Pizza Party with Show & Tell. (more info to follow)
We’re meeting later in May, the weather will be warmer, we expect students will want time to explore the island.

​Can you help me find a roommate?
Your best option is to post a roommate request on our Facebook page. We'll do what we can to assist you.

Waitlist...
When your desired class is fully booked, we will create a WAITLIST.
There is a fee of $50 to hold your place payable to:

If an open spot does not become available, this will be refunded to you.
If you change your mind or decline to register when an opening is presented to you, this will not be refunded.
You may not transfer your registration, or sell your space without first contacting Carmen Hartwig
to see if there is a waiting list.​​

Cancellation Policy:​​
​$150 cancellation fee - August 11 - October 11
$250 cancellation fee - October 12 - December 11
$400 cancellation fee - December 12, 2025
Cancellation refunds will not be issued after December 12 unless we're able to fill your spot from our waitlist, and there are rooms available at Mission Point.
In that event we are able to fill your spot, we will refund what you've paid subject to the $400 cancellation fee.
​Return credit card payments or returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.
