​Must I stay at THE BLUE GATE INN OR THE FARMSTEAD INN to participate?

For the greatest convenience, we recommend staying at the conference center where your workshop will be held.

Can I bring my pet?
Pets are not allowed at the Blue Gate Inn or the Farmstead Inn. You may find other pet friendly lodging in Shipshewana.
​
How do we know what supplies will be needed?
A printable PDF Supply List for each class will be posted (as available) on the same page as the workshop description.
​
Are kits available?
Our goal is to offer as many kits as possible.If a kit is available for a particular class, it will be noted on the supply list.
​
​Are any meals included?
​
​Breakfast will be provided for overnight guests of the Blue Gate Inn and guests of the Farmstead Inn.
​
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​MONDAY NIGHT​​ - Dinner will be included following the Welcome Reception at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center.
​
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY/FRIDAY/SAT - Lunches will be included.
​
THURSDAY​ - Lunches are not included. Students are encouraged to enjoy Shipshewana. Classes begin at 1:30 pm.
Boxed lunches will be available to pre-order.

​​​​​​THURSDAY EVENING​ - Food will be provided for everyone to enjoy at the Community Open House 6:00-8:00pm​
Hors d'oeuvres will be served at The Blue Gate Inn
Desserts will be served at The Farmstead Inn

FRIDAY EVENING - PARKS & PRETZELS - "Inspired by the Parks"
Lecture with Vicki Conley and and delicious hand -crafted pretzels. 6:00pm at The Farmstead Inn.

​Daily Afternoon Refreshments: Desserts and Drinks (Pop & Water) will be served at 3:00pm

Will I be able to purchase fabric or supplies at this event? ​​​​​​
Yes! Cousins Quilt Shop and Olive Grace Studios will have Pop-Up Shops in the secondary lobby at the Farmstead Inn.

Can I register with my group?
For groups of 5 or more, contact us directly and we'll set up your group registration.
Registration for groups will open August 6th (2-days advance of registration)
​
Do I have to take a workshop to participate?
No. We have 50 OPEN SEW spots available.
If you're registered beginning Tuesday March 9 - The Welcome Reception, Dinner and Krista Moser Lecture is included.
If you're registered on Thursday you're invited to attend our Community Open House at 6-8pm) ​
​
Will you have machines available for rent?
We will have 10 machines available for rent - limited to workshop attendees who are flying to Shipshewana.
There may be limited machines for rent at The Cotton Corner, located in Yoder's department store.

What does it cost to attend this event?​
​​​
Check-in:
Monday March 9th: Your name tag & "Ships Swag" will be at the Welcome Table in the location of your scheduled workshop from 1-3:30pm. Your classroom will be open from 1-4:00pm to drop off your things.
Rooms will be locked at 4pm Monday and re-open Tuesday at 7:30am.
Registration for late arrivals will be available 1 hour before and 15 minutes after the Opening Night Reception & Lecture.
Thursday March 12th: Registration for Session 2: 2/12 day workshops beginning Thursday - Arrive prior to class to register and set up your things from 12:30-1:30.

Waitlist...
In the event a workshop or Open Sew is full, we will open registration for a waitlist.​
​
Cancellation Policy:​​
​​
​$400 cancellation fee - August 8 - October 8, 2026.
$500 cancellation fee - October 9 - December 9, 2026.
$600 cancellation fee - December 10 - January 10, 2027.
Cancellation refunds will not be issued after January 10, 2027.
*** Any registrations made after January 10, 2027 are not subject to a refund.

All cancellations or transfer requests* must be submitted via email to ensure proper documentation and processing.​
​
*Transfer of Reservation: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to another person
if we do not have a waitlist. Please check with Carmen before making arrangements.
Please notify us of any transfers as soon as possible to ensure we have updated information.
Payment of the transfer will be handled privately between you and the transferee.
Transfers are permitted up to 14 days prior to the session.
​
Processing Fees: Return credit card payments, returned checks, or requesting a class change after registering
are subject to a $50 fee.​
​
Class Cancellation: QAS reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of students is not met.
If the class is officially cancelled, a full refund will be issued.
