Christmas wreaths and cardinals, what’s not to love about Winter Visit? This pattern uses the large Creative Grids 60 degree diamond ruler to cut triangles, trapezoids, diamonds and parallelograms all combined to make this charming quilt.

 

Use your stash of green scraps to make the wreaths and a splash of red for the cardinal. This pattern is versatile and fun in any assortment you choose.

THIS KIT INCLUDES: 

• 3 yds white or teal background fabric

• ½ yd light gray background accent

• 1/3 yd each of six different green fabrics for the wreaths

• 3/8 yd each of two additional green fabrics for the wreaths

• 1/8 yd yellow-gold fabric

• one 2½" strip light red fabric

• one 2½" strip dark red fabric

• one 2½" x 3½" black rectangle

Give your Christmas decor the wow factor with these oversized poinsettia blooms. The asymmetrical design gives a contemporary nod while the depth and richness of color brings

an elegance to any space. This quilt is constructed using a variety of shapes and sizes all cut using the original Creative Grids 60 degree diamond ruler. The piecing starts out smaller in

the middle and “blooms” out bigger with each row of petals. There is no fussy piecing or Y seams involved!

• ¼ yd each of two different light reds

• ¼ yd of one medium red

• 1/6 yd of a second medium red

• 1/3 yd each of two different dark reds

• 1/8 yd one light mauve

• ¼ yd of a second light mauve

• ¼ yd each of two different medium mauves

• ¼ yd each of two different dark mauves

• 1/3 yd white

• 1/3 yd creamy white

Long Summer Days is a fresh new take on the stars and stripes. Combine diamonds, trapezoids and triangles, all cut using the Creative Grids 60 degree diamond ruler to create this fun summer masterpiece.

The blocks are simple and go together with ease, making this a good place to start in learning to work with angles. Use scraps in different colors with a favorite stripe to pull it all together or a planned out color scheme in keeping with your favorite holiday. This pattern is sure to be a hit in any color way.

Krista loves symmetry, clean lines with bold colors and thinks

shapes that tessellate in all directions are a playground for design.

​A quilting and fiber arts enthusiast, Krista began her professional sewing and machine quilting career at the spunky age of fourteen and have now been teaching sewing and quilting lessons for more than twenty years.
