This is sure to be an incredibly creative workshop!

Working with fabrics like cottons, linens, and vibrant wool as the basis for your applique' offers so many different textures to play with. And having access to unique decorative stitching techniques from Barbie will provide a great opportunity to learn some new tricks!
​
You’ll experiment with threads like Valdani, Eleganza, and Silk n’ Pearl, which will give whichever project you choose beautiful depth. ​
​
Barbie has a few of her own creative stitches that are taught only to students in her class. You can choose to keep the embroidery simple or embellish using lots of detail to truly make this your own.

Sue Spargo's Creative Stitching Book available from Cousin's Quilt Shop is necessary for this class.

Kits will be available for both projects using Sue Spargo's gorgeous hand-dyed pure wool. They'll come partially pre-cut which is super helpful for busy quilters.
​
If you'd like to complete the background prior to arriving on the island, students will have the option to have their background fabrics and instructions pre-shipped to them in January.
