Workshop Details
Turn a cherished photograph into a stunning textile collage in this immersive, totally fun, hands-on workshop. Participants will explore every state of the creative process from start to finish. You'll learn to think like an artist and never look at fabric in quite the same way again. Stacey will introduce you to the broader world of collage and textile art through her presentation: "Under the Influence: Artists I Admire and Lessons I've Learned". Because our time together is limited, 60-days prior to class students will receive a series of informational emails preparing you for class - Choosing the right photograph - Exploring special effects with photo editing apps - Tips for printing an image - Creating a pattern - What to consider when selecting fabrics - Detailed supply list - Why my 'go to' fusible product is a game changer - Creating eye-catching backgrounds - Adding dimension with free motion quilting - Creative finishing techniques. There will be a $45 kit fee for specialty supplies payable to instruction in class.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELATION POLICY: A registration/workshop deposit of $400 is due on-line at the time of reservation. ​​ The balance due, based on your lodging needs will be payable to Cousin's Quilt Shop by December 11, 2025. It may be paid in person or over the phone with a credit card. $150 cancellation fee - August 11 - October 11 $250 cancellation fee - October 12 - December 11 $400 cancellation fee - December 12, 2005 Cancellation refunds will not be issued after December 12 unless we're able to fill your spot from the waitlist, and there are rooms available at Mission Point. In the event we're able to fill your spot, we will refund what you've paid - subject to the $400 cancellation fee. Return credit card payment or returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.
